                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 317 SYLVAN
                   STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF SYLVAN
                   STREET SOUTHEAST OF DALLAS ROAD, FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-5 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 317 Sylvan Street, being
                on the northeast line of Sylvan Street southeast of
                Dallas Road.  Lot 4, block 27, Chattanooga Land,
                Coal, Iron, and Railway Company's Addition No. 1 to
                North Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record in
                plat book 3, page 31, ROHC; being the property
                described in deed book 4374, page 29, ROHC.  Tax
                Map No. 126M-M-38.
               
               
         from R-1 Residential Zone to C-5 Neighborhood Commercial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.	  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this
         Ordinance shall be subject to the following conditions:

              	   1.	To be used as a shoe store or clothing store only.
              	   2.	All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
